Julie Brams, M.A. is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#MFT35574) and eco-psychologist serving the San Fernando Valley since 1992. Julie works with both individuals and couples teaching them how to overcome the past and present challenges that stop them from feeling fulfilled in their lives.

Her therapy work is based on the practice of Mindfulness and supports the mind’s natural ability to heal. She is also trained in using Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Thought Field Therapy (TFT) as adjuncts to traditional therapy.  These techniques are particularly helpful in resolving traumatic experiences that may be the underlying cause of current anxiety, depression, addictive behavior and painful relationship patterns.

Additionally, Julie is a certified Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy and leads Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) walks as part of her eco-therapy practice.  Individuals and groups may use Shinrin Yoku in conjunction with therapy or on its own.

Julie also specializes in grief counseling and has an expertise in helping people adjust after the loss of a loved one, relationship, health or job. With the right guidance many people are able to come through their grieving with a deeper connection to themselves and what matters most to them.
